Mouthguards

There are many different types of mouthguards available, from the do-it-yourself boil-and-bite mouthguards you can get from the local pharmacist or sports store to a dentist-made mouthguard.

The difference is that a dentist-made mouthguard is made by taking moulds of your teeth so that the mouthguard fits your teeth only. This means that it fits better, is more comfortable, and most importantly, it is more effective and helps to spread any forces evenly to minimise the effects of trauma.
