Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment

Every tooth has its own individual nerve. If this nerve dies, it may lead to symptoms such as pain or swelling. There are many different reasons for why a nerve dies, for example, a hole allowing bacteria into the nerve space or an injury causing trauma to the tooth. Once the nerve is dead, root canal treatment is required to try to save the tooth. Root canal treatment is finding the nerve space in the root, cleaning it out thoroughly and then filling the clean and empty space.
